Hey! I'm sorry for the complete lack of posts on my part. I did finish the four remaining Leopoldo illustrations, but I'm waiting to research into registering it with the copyright office before I post them on the internet. I will eventually get them up. This is the logo I designed for the Central Texas Viola Society. The "e" has been replaced with the alto clef which is clef that most music for viola is written in.

Red balloon redo

Sketch of my Red Balloon illustration. It's going to still be cut paper but with more collage elements. Just having fun and perhaps this will be the piece I put in the show. :)

The color version. My aunt really likes it, yay! I have many other things in the works. Going to start illustrating some t-shirts and see if Threadless would like to sell them. I have also been accepted to participate in a St. Louis art show called Drawgasmic. So I either need to make a new piece or decide which illustration I'm going to make a print of.... any suggestions? The format has to be 11x8.5. I'm not a big fan of horizontal, but oh well. :)

To paint the frame or not paint the frame.

So I need some help. I made this cute little cut paper illustration and was wondering if I should paint the frame or let it be. I have yet to put the glass in the frame and then tape up the back, so let me know. :)

My next project I'm working on is the Golden Girls and making them into legos. Just for fun. I figured why not. :) So far I have a Rose Nyland sketch.

The Epiphany moment for Leopoldo

Here's the epiphany moment of the book, where Leopoldo's friend Julietta has just finished comparing the beauty and uniqueness of Leopoldo and Pepe's voices to the different orchids of the swamp.

I'm going to try really hard to stick to my Saturday deadline in the coming weeks. I need to have 5 illustrations of Leopoldo done before April, and I've got one so far and two finished sketches. :) I welcome all comments.

Been working on designing a Happy Birthday card that pleases all audiences, for the Hallmark contest. I found that to be quite difficult, so I ended up doing so handwritten typography which I then vectored in illustrator. Now to determine colors. Plus, I think I may change the "y" on Happy because it is starting to bug me.

Leopoldo and company

Here's the supporting characters for my story about Leopoldo the frog. I started to work on the unfinished scene of my last post and then realized that I needed to research and design the swamp animals first.
